What is the Turkey Trot?

The Tallahassee Turkey Trot is an annual Tallahassee event. On Thanksgiving morning, runners gather in SouthWood to race one another. There are several different races, including a one mile run, a 5K run, and a 10K run. For the serious competitors out there, the Turkey Trot also has a 15K run.

Runners of all fitness levels take to the streets before Thanksgiving is in full swing. Whether you are an avid runner or a novice, you’re welcome at the race. It’s a great way to start the holiday off on the right foot.

Runners aren’t the only ones who can enjoy the Turkey Trot. If you’re more interested in music and fun, you can check out the Turkey Trot Festival. The event occurs on November 18th a t 1:00 pm. It takes place at the Goodwood Museum and Gardens.

At the festival, you can register for the race. You can also check out vendor booths and learn about your health. Listen to some of the live music, and enjoy some delicious refreshments. If you choose not to race, you can still enjoy the festival.
