Tallahassee News: RedEye Coffee Grows

RedEye Coffee is a Tallahassee company that is doing bigger and better things. After opening its first store in 2009, the company is merging with Catalina Cafe. It’s trying to have a more positive impact on the environment and setting a good example for other companies.

About RedEye Coffee

When this coffee company merged with Catalina Cafe, it took over the Capital Circle Southeast and West Gaines Street locations. Now, it has a total of six locations. The company plans on changing the look of the two new cafes, and expects the changes to be finished in about six months. However, some of the Catalina Cafe’s principles will remain the same. For instance, the shop will still source products from women-owned and community-focused farms.

Both companies are very environmentally-friendly. According to the CEO of RedEye, all profits go to empowerment charities on both a local and a global scale. The drinks all come from an ethical source that does as little damage to the environment as possible.

RedEye will also be opening a new facility on South Adams Street. In the facility, workers will roast coffee, train workers, and make baked goods. Those goods will be sold at all six other RedEye locations.
