Tallahassee Events: Florida Week for the Animals

Between February 8th and February 16th, the state of Florida will be celebrating dogs and other animals. This statewide showcase also will be celebrated in Tallahassee, where there will be several dog-friendly Tallahassee events.

About Florida Week for the Animals

This event is sponsored by Animal World USA. Throughout the week, rescue groups, animal shelters, and wildlife centers will be hosting special events. The events will be spreading awareness about animals and raising money for their causes. In fact, several animal loves may be saved as a result of the festivities.

Whether you just want to learn about the plight of animals or you have a furry friend, you’ll enjoy this event. Look for your own pet at an adoption event or get your pet spayed or neutered for free. If you head to the library, you can participate in a dog program or sign up for a dog training class.

As the week goes on, there will be dog Olympic events, farm animal sanctuary fundraising, and therapy animal visits. In addition to highlighting the animals, the events of the week will also celebrate the workers who dedicate their time to caring for them. It’s a unique week-long event that will melt your heart and could result in a new addition to your family.
